Programs designed with purpose, not padding

Every program in the Wealthhanc catalogue has been reviewed by practitioners currently working in the field it prepares students for. We do not list courses simply to fill a brochure. Each offering has a defined learning outcome, a set of assessable competencies, and a realistic timeline that accounts for the demands of adult life in regional Queensland. You will find four broad streams below — each with its own dedicated page carrying the full curriculum detail, delivery format, and typical graduate pathways. If you are unsure which stream fits your background and ambitions, our admissions team will map your existing experience against the entry requirements and give you an honest recommendation rather than simply steering you toward the highest-priced option.

How we keep the curriculum current

Wealthhanc reviews every program annually in partnership with an industry advisory panel drawn from Cairns and the broader Far North Queensland region. Panel members include practising accountants, allied health coordinators, small-business operators, and digital project managers. Their input shapes unit content, assessment design, and the practical placement component that features in most certificate and diploma programs. This means the skills you develop here reflect what employers in the region are genuinely asking for — not a curriculum last updated five years ago. It also means faculty who teach these programs stay connected to professional practice rather than teaching from theory alone.

Common questions about our programs

Can I switch streams after I enrol?

Yes, subject to availability and meeting the entry requirements of the new stream. Transfers are assessed by your adviser in the first four weeks of study. Credit for completed units is recognised wherever the learning outcomes align.

Are programs delivered entirely on campus in Cairns?

Most programs offer a blended model: some contact hours on campus and the remainder via our online learning platform. A small number of units in certificate and diploma programs require attendance at scheduled workshops in Cairns.

Do you offer Recognition of Prior Learning?

Yes. RPL is available across all streams. You submit a portfolio of evidence — previous qualifications, employment records, professional references — and a qualified assessor evaluates it against the unit competency standards. RPL can significantly reduce your study load.

What happens if I need to pause my studies?

You can apply for a formal leave of absence of up to 12 months. Your place is held, your study plan is preserved, and your adviser contacts you before the leave period ends to arrange a smooth return.
