What Wealthhanc does, in plain language
Wealthhanc is a registered training organisation based in Cairns, Queensland. We deliver nationally accredited vocational education and training programs — certificates, diplomas, and professional development short courses — to adult learners across Far North Queensland. Our programs span four streams: business administration, community services, allied health support, and professional development. We are not a school, not a university, and not a large training college with hundreds of concurrent enrolments. We are a small, deliberately sized organisation whose educational model is premised on the idea that a student who is individually known — by their adviser, by their instructor, by the institution — is a student who learns more effectively and completes more reliably than one who is processed through a mass-enrolment system. Every enrolled student at Wealthhanc has a named personal adviser. Class sizes are capped. Progress is tracked individually. This is not marketing copy; it is how the organisation is structured.
How the team works — and what we genuinely cannot promise
The Wealthhanc team comprises eight full-time staff and a pool of twelve industry-practitioner facilitators who deliver program content across the four streams. All facilitators hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and remain current in their vocational area through ongoing professional practice — they are not career academics but working professionals who teach. Since 2018 we have enrolled just over 400 students across all programs and streams, with a program completion rate consistently above 78 per cent — a figure we regard as meaningful rather than exceptional, because the remaining students often pause for genuine life reasons rather than academic failure. Our Cairns campus is a bright, modern facility designed to feel welcoming rather than institutional, with abundant natural light and a layout that encourages informal conversation between students and staff. We serve students who live and work in the Cairns region, in the broader FNQ area, and in some cases remotely via blended delivery. We do not operate outside Queensland, and we do not offer any program entirely by correspondence without campus contact requirements. What we cannot promise is an employment outcome — graduate employment depends on labour market conditions and individual effort well beyond our control. What we can promise is a qualification assessed to national standards, an adviser relationship that lasts the full duration of your study, and a faculty that will tell you honestly when a program is not the right fit for where you are starting from.
