What professional development at Wealthhanc involves
Our professional development programs run between eight and sixteen weeks and are designed for people who are already employed and cannot step away from work for extended periods. Each program targets a specific competency cluster — for example, small-business financial literacy, digital project coordination, or team leadership in a regulated environment. You will attend two to three sessions per week, either on campus in Cairns or through live-online delivery. Every session is facilitated by a practitioner with current industry experience, not a generalist trainer cycling through a fixed script. Assessment is applied and practical: case studies drawn from regional industries, a supervised project of your choosing, and one reflective portfolio submission.
What you receive at the end of the program
One-on-one industry mentor match
Each participant is matched with a practitioner mentor for the duration of the program. Mentors provide industry context, review your project work, and often become part of your professional network after graduation.
Applied project portfolio
Your supervised project becomes a portfolio piece you can show to employers — demonstrating real capability rather than theoretical knowledge. Many graduates include it directly in job applications.

Professional development programs at Wealthhanc suit people who already have some workplace experience and want a credential that reflects specific, current competencies rather than a broad foundational qualification. They are not the right entry point if you are entirely new to a field — in that case, our Foundation Studies or Certificate Programs stream will serve you better. Results depend on your active engagement: the assessments require genuine reflection on real-work situations, and the mentoring relationship works best when you approach it with specific questions. If you commit the time — roughly eight to ten hours per week including sessions — most participants complete within the advertised timeframe.
